ECLECTIC BATHROOM DESIGN

I’ve been told I have eclectic taste. What does this mean? Eclectic is a term describing a combination of many different elements of styles, mediums, or themes in one “package.” If you have eclectic taste in music, you might enjoy many genres, from classical to jazz to Broadway show tunes. What is eclectic bathroom design? Since bathrooms are relatively small compared to other rooms in one’s home, they’re a great place to showcase your varied sense of design. There isn’t a set of rules which state what should or should not be included in an eclectic bathroom. You can basically use whatever you want to use. If you are having your bathroom remodeled, tell the people designing and building the room what your likes and dislikes are. If you are having your bathroom redecorated, tell the person creating the new look all the colors, textures, and materials you like and also all the ones you don’t like. • Mix and match elements from different decades.
• Add styles from more than one era. If your bathroom has modern-looking cabinets, add one rustic cabinet.
• Add a Tiffany-style light fixture if your bathroom has a contemporary design.
• If you have older-style cabinets, add one with a modern look.
• If your bathroom has an older-style ornate look, add a round globe light.
• If you have a pedestal sink, place a cabinet around the base.

• Add paintings and drawings with differing subject matter.
